Karen Smith is the Director of the Chattanooga Ballet School and is the Founding Director of the Children's Company. In 1974, she helped establish the Chattanooga Center for the Dance (now the Chattanooga Ballet). For a profile on Karen, please click here.

        Ballet Master    Frank Hay       (Email )

Frank attended the University of Utah where he majored in ballet with an emphasis on performing technique. After two years he joined Ballet West, where he danced Principal roles in numerous major ballets. Frank also received the runner-up award at the 1997 TAD Choreographer's Competition held in Nashville. In addition to his duties as Ballet Master with Chattanooga Ballet, Frank teaches classes at all grade levels for the Chattanooga Ballet School. For an expanded profile on Frank, please click here.

       Professional Dancer    Joellen Wojtowicz

Joellen holds a B.F.A. in dance from Texas Christian University and is a tenth year company member. Since arriving in Chattanooga, Joellen has danced numerous principal roles and is also a skilled choreographer. For a complete profile on Joellen, please click here.
